Intermountain Wildland Fire Training and Contracting,

Hello Everyone

We would like to thank you for a Safe 2012 Wildland Fire Season and also would like to remind you. That we are at the beginning of the 2013 Wildfire Season and Well it is that time of year Fire agencies and Fire contractors are getting ready to hire. It’s time to get your training done and up to date. To the people who don’t know how to become a Wildland Firefighter, you need to take the Basic Wildland firefighter class and take a Work Capacity Test; Which is where you walk 3 miles, wearing a 45 pound pack or WCT vest, and do it in 45 minutes or less.

1. The Basic Wildland Firefighter class is as follows:
Basic Firefighter Training:
• Introduction to ICS (I-100)
• Introduction to Wildland Firefighter (S-110)
• Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service (L-180)
• Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior (S-190)
• Firefighting Training (S-130)
• FEMA NIMS (I-700)
This class lasts 4 days, Cost is $ 145.00 This price includes Training, Books, Incident Response Pocket Guide, and Certificate of Completion


2. The Annual Refresher (RT-130) you have to take this EVERY YEAR if you are not a new Firefighter
• The cost of this class is $45.00 Includes class, workbook, IRPG and Certificate


3. We also offer other classes from FFT1 to Single Resource Boss classes and all the classes required. We also teach technical classes like (S-212) Wildland Fire Chain Saws, A very Intense Fire Operations in the Wildland/Urban Interface (S-215), Portable pumps and Water use(S-211) and many more.
